REGISTRATION FEES
BUYERS
Any professional tour operator located in North America may participate in Bienvenue Québec (travel agencies, receptive tour operators, wholesalers, travel retailers, motorcoach operators). To qualify, they must have a travel agent license in the province or state in which it does business (if so required).
Qualification and designation of North American buyers are determined in accordance with Bienvenue Québec guidelines. Candidacies can also be suggested by sellers registered for Bienvenue Québec.
Bienvenue Québec offers three types of registration:
Package A) Buyer with pre-established appointment schedule

** Cancellation Policy for the "Free Delegate" promotion
A cancellation of the delegate with appointments received at APAQ’s offices prior to September 3, 2010 inclusively causes no charge. After September 3, 2010, a fee of $ 49 CAN plus taxes (equivalent to 50% of the registration fee for a delegate with appointments) will be charged. For the accompanying person, refer to the regular cancellation policy.
Package A: Delegate with pre-established appointment schedule
- An average of 10 business appointments with 1-day sellers on October 26, 2010 during the appointment session #1. For this session, the buyers go from one appointment to the next, up to a maximum of 12.
- An average of 80 business appointments with 3-day sellers, spread out over four working sessions on Wednesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 28, 2010. For the appointment sessions # 2, 3, 4 and 5, buyers are sitting at their booth. These are sellers who travel from an appointment to another.
- Business, networking and training activities on October 26, 2010, include:
- Dynamic presentations given by DMO’S on their new products and services;
- Round table;
- Two open market sessions (October 26 and 27);
- Web Strategy Seminar: «Consumer Online Buying Process and Online Selling of Group Travel» (In French only);
- Conference «The Intelligent Business Networking» (in French only).
- Fam Tour offered free of charge by the ministère du Tourisme du Québec.
- Dynamic social activities; choice opportunities to build strong relations with your clients while having fun.
- Complimentary room at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu for the main delegate registered at Bienvenue Québec. Date considered are October 25, 26, 27 and 28, 2010. The accompanying person must share the room of the main delegate. Otherwise, the special rate of $169 CAD applies.
- Preferential fares on air travel to Québec City.
- Preferential fares on motorcoach to Québec City and La Malbaie.
Package B: Delegate without appointments
- All the activities included in the program of events, with the exception of the Fam Tour offered by the ministère du Tourisme du Québec;
- Your company will not have a stand or an appointment schedule;
- Complimentary room at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu for the main delegate registered at Bienvenue Québec. Date considered are October 25, 26, 27 and 28, 2010. The accompanying person must share the room of the main delegate. Otherwise, the special rate of $169 CAD applies.
- Preferential fares on air travel to Québec City.
- Preferential fares on motorcoach to Québec City and La Malbaie.
Package C: Delegate registered at the official evenings only
- Access to Bienvenue Québec’s four official evening events only; namely, APAQ’s VIP cocktail (October 25, 2010), the opening cocktail (October 26, 2010), the official evening (October 27, 2010) and the closing evening (October 28, 2010);
- Complimentary room at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu for the main delegate registered at Bienvenue Québec. Date considered are October 25, 26, 27 and 28, 2010. The accompanying person must share the room of the main delegate. Otherwise, the special rate of $169 CAD applies.
- Preferential fares on air travel to Québec City.
- Preferential fares on motorcoach to Québec City and La Malbaie.
Privileges for new buyers
- A buyer who has never attended Bienvenue Québec or who has not attended in the last five years will receive exclusively the following privileges, for a period of one year:
- Free registration for Bienvenue Québec (Valid for Package A delegates only. Does not apply to the accompanying person.);
- Complimentary room at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu for the main delegate registered at Bienvenue Québec. Date considered are October 25, 26, 27 and 28, 2010. The accompanying person must share the room of the main delegate. Otherwise, the special rate of $169 CAD applies.
* The granting of privileges is conditional upon approval of buyer’s candidacy by APAQ.
SELLERS
Sellers at Bienvenue Québec are suppliers of tourism products or services, Sector Tourism Associations as well as destination marketing organizations (DMO) from Québec, Ontario, the Maritimes and other Canadian provinces or American states.
Qualification of seller companies are determined in accordance with Bienvenue Québec’s guidelines. 75% of all registered sellers must come from Québec. A maximum of registered companies by category must also be respected in order to present a diversity of the offer.
Bienvenue Québec offers four packages adapted to your objectives, clientele and target markets.

Package A: 3-day seller with pre-established appointment schedule
This package is intended exclusively for sellers ready for international export, as the buyer’s clientele are European, American, Canadian, Asian and Latin American. Products and services must meet with the appropriate criteria applied to the travel industry and the target market. Membership as an Associate Tourism Member of APAQ is mandatory for this package.
This package includes a 2-day Marketplace dedicated to business meetings, intended for companies who’s primary wishes are to:
- Meet all professional North American buyers (travel agencies, receptive agencies and wholesalers) registered at Bienvenue Québec according to an 8-minute pre-established appointment format on October 27 and 28;
- Build their knowledge of the national and international tourism industry through training and networking activities.
Registration includes:
- A schedule of pre-established appointments;
- 9 free appointment slots spread out on two days (October 27 and 28).
- An Open Market, for 20 minutes, on October 27, allowing the taking of additional appointments on October 27 and 28;
- Seller’s contact information in the Bienvenue Québec 2010 Directory, distributed to all Marketplace buyers and sellers;
- Company’s complete contact information and profile on Bienvenue Québec’s Website, on the online Sellers Directory, for appointment-making purposes;
- Company’s contact information and APAQ member profile included in the Québec for Groups and F.I.T. magazine for companies from the province of Québec only;
- Company’s contact information and APAQ member profile included in the Guide officiel du voyage en groupe magazine for companies from outside the province of Québec only;
- Participation at round table;
- Participation at panel or training seminar;
- Attendance at all Bienvenue Québec social functions, including the opening cocktail, the official evening, the closing evening, as well as the three official luncheons.
Package B: 3-day seller with free appointment schedule
In contrast to sellers with appointments, these delegates do not receive any pre-established appointments but have access to the Marketplace floor and must arrange their own appointments.
Registration includes:
- An Open Market, for 20 minutes, on October 27, allowing the taking of appointments on October 27 and 28;
- 9 free appointment slots spread out on two days (October 27 and 28);
- Access to the Marketplace floor in order to hold appointments made directly by sellers with buyers;
- Seller’s contact information included in the Bienvenue Québec 2010 Directory, distributed to all Marketplace buyers and sellers;
- Participation at the Round Table;
- Participation at panels or training seminars;
- Attendance at all Bienvenue Québec social functions, including the opening cocktail, the official evening, the closing evening, as well as the three official luncheons.
Package C: 1-day seller with pre-established appointment schedule
This package is intended particularly for cultural organizations, festivals and events, as well as new or smaller tourism companies that wish to:
- Build their knowledge of the national and international tourism industry through training and networking activities;
- Develop their group travel clientele, among other, for the Quebec or French speaking European markets;
- Meet a number of professional North American buyers (travel agencies, receptive agencies, wholesalers) who are well targeted on the basis of their products or services; according to pre-established appointment format.
Registration includes:
- Seller’s profile included in the Guide officiel du voyage en groupe, distributed to 5000 professionals working in the travel, group excursions and convention planning sectors;
- Seller’s contact information included in the Bienvenue Québec 2010 Directory, distributed to all Marketplace buyers and sellers;
- Participation at the Round Table;
- An Open Market, for 20 minutes, on October 26, allowing the taking of additional appointments on October 26;
- Access to the Marketplace floor on October 26 in order to make a maximum of 12 appointments with buyers;
- Attendance at the luncheon on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 and opening cocktail with all Bienvenue Québec buyers and sellers.
Package D: Seller at the official evenings only
This package is intended for companies that wish to:
- Maintain business relations on an annual basis without being required to meet buyers according to the appointment format;
- Take part in Bienvenue Québec for the first time in order to become familiar with this event.
Registration includes:
- Access to Bienvenue Québec’s three official evening events only; namely, the opening cocktail (October 26, 2010), the official evening (October 27, 2010) and the closing evening (October 28, 2010)
ACCOMPANYING PERSONS
Person accompanying a seller for 3 days
The accompanying person will share the pre-established appointment schedule with the main delegate. Under no circumstances, will the accompanying person be given their own pre-established appointments. If the main delegate is registered for Package B, the accompanying person will also have a free appointment schedule.
Registration includes:
- Participation at the Round Table;
- Participation at the panel or training seminar;
- Attendance at all Bienvenue Québec social functions, including the opening cocktail, the official evening, the closing evening, as well as the three official luncheons;
- Access to the Open Market on October 27, 2010;
- Access to the Marketplace Floor on October 27 and 28, 2010.
Person accompanying a seller for 1 day
The accompanying person will share the pre-established appointment schedule with the main delegate registered for the package C. Under no circumstances, will the accompanying person be given their own pre-established appointments.
Registration includes:
- Participation at the Round Table;
- Access to the Open Market on October 26, 2010;
- Access to the Marketplace Floor on October 26, 2010 for the appointment session # 1;
- Attendance at the luncheon on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 and the opening cocktail with all Bienvenue Québec buyers and sellers.
Person accompanying a seller who is registered for the social functions only
The accompanying person will have the same privileges as the delegate registered for the package D.
Registration includes:
- Access to Bienvenue Québec’s three official evening events only; namely, the opening cocktail (October 26, 2010), the official evening (October 27, 2010) and the closing evening (October 28, 2010).
